Obituary of Antonio Battiati

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Pino, surrounded by his loving family on August 20, 2017 at the age of 70, after a courageous battle with cancer. Cherished husband to Helen (nee Borrelli) for 47 loving years. Proud father to Joey and wife Marcella, and Steven. Pino will be missed by his granddaughter, his pride and joy, Lea " "l"amore di Nonno." Predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe and Vittoria Rosa (nee: DeAlexandris). Remembered by his siblings in Ceccano, Italy, Francesco (Maria), Paolo (Maria Teresa), Agostino (Memmina), the late Loretto, Vincenzina (Marcello), Rosaria. Dearly loved by his late mother and father-in-law Frank and Ursula Borrelli and brothers and sisters-in-law in Windsor, Ontario, Elio (Maria) Borrelli, Lidia (Antonio) De Rose, Alba (Dominic) Gaudio, the late Carlo Borrelli, Joanna Borrelli, and the entire Borrelli family. Dear Zio to many nieces and nephews both in Ceccano, Italy and Windsor, Ontario. Pino will be dearly missed by his best friends, Michele and Maria Mastrogiacomo. A special thank you to the hospital staff at Windsor Regional Hospital " Metropolitan Campus for your care and compassion to our family throughout this journey. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel), 11677 Tecumseh Road, East, 519-253-7234, on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Parish prayers to take place at 4:30 pm. Funeral Services on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 8:30 am from the funeral home to St. Angela Merici Church, 980 Louis Avenue, for Funeral Mass at 9:30 am.
