Obituary of Clarence Edward Joseph King
Clarence King of Amherstburg, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2017 at the age of 85. He will be deeply missed by his life-long friend, Gloria Money. Cherished father to Christine (Kevin) Jones, Donna King, Jim King (Lucy), Doug King and Debbie (Dennis) Marshall. Proud grandfather to Adrian (Treasa), Daphny (Chris), Matthew (Tara), Jillianne (Travis), Luke, Lacey, Andrew, Craig, Nicholas, Natalie and great grandchildren Kayara, Dezarie, Riley, Ethan, Sierra, Cameron, Nathan, Evan. Clarence will be missed by many extended family and friends. He is reunited with his beloved daughter Patty, as well as many dear family and friends who have anxiously awaited his arrival in Heaven with open arms. Clarence was renowned for his boogie woogie piano playing, great sense of humour and love of the outdoors. He worked at the Amherstburg Echo and the Windsor Star in his trade as a linotype operator, then for Allied Chemical until he retired. He was a long time member of Campbell Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Richmond Terrace LTC Home and Met Campus 8 North for all their wonderful care and compassion shown to dad and the words of comfort and prayer from Pastor Bruce, Pastor Dan and Alma. Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Tuesday August 15, 2017 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday August 16, 2017 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow. In kindness, donations in memory of Clarence may be made to Alzheimer Society of Windsor-Essex County.
