Obituary of Jackylyn Warlock

WARLOCK, Jackylyn "Jackie"Jackylyn died peacefully on August 5th, 2017 at Hospice Windsor with family at her bedside after a long struggle with cancer. Jackie was born November 25th, 1942, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, the daughter of the late Selvin Warlock and Evelyn Samuels Warlock. Jackie had many passions including truly enjoying tending to her beautiful garden in her backyard, her strong faith, dedication to the Lord and involvement in the church. She was an active member at Sandwich First Baptist Church including a member of the choir and Board. But what brought her most joy was her large family including being the mother of her beautiful daughters, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her many siblings. Jackie moved to Canada and settled in Windsor, ON in 1969. She worked her whole career at Windsor Regional Hospital and the former Riverview Hospital. There she developed many long term friendships not just co-workers. Jackie is survived by her 3 daughters, Leisa, Dayna (Andrew) and Jillian (Zedrick), niece like daughter Donna, siblings Daphne, Imogene, Curdel, Madge (Manu), Oliver (Emily), Patricia, Carmen, Aston, Pearle and many, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and a number of close friends. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, August 8th, 2017 at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519) 253-7234 from 2pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, August 9th, 2017 at Sandwich First Baptist Church (3652 Peter St.) from 10am until time of Funeral Service at 11am. Pastor Della Bost officiating. Jackie will be laid to rest at Windsor Memorial Gardens. We would like to give our sincere gratitude to the staff and volunteers of Hospice who provided compassionate care during her transition.
