Obituary of George Sima

George Sima (Gy"rgy Szima), age 79, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017, in Windsor, Ontario. Although George had a stubborn and impatient exterior he was not a person to let pain cause the physical phenomenon of suffering. With his humorous and stress-free personality he allowed his life to unfold and lived it to the fullest. The most important thing in life, to him, was the ability to be happy and make light of any situation. He enjoyed telling stories (really only 5 but with many versions), amusing others (mostly himself), playing cards, having a drink, Maria"s cooking and being around people. He was born in Hungary in 1937, during European turmoil, and came to Canada as a 19 year old young man to start a new life. He was a proud retired Chrysler worker and race horse trainer. He was a father, grandfather, brother, son, mentor and friend. When we think of George, we will not be sad but smile as we remember a funny story he told.
