Obituary of Elio Silvestri

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 18, 2017 at the age of 86. Loving and devoted husband to his wife of 67 years, Maria (nee D"Orazio). Cherished dad to Dominic (Yolanda), Patricia Arquette (Elliot) and Remo. Proud Nonno to Jennifer, Nadia and Lisa Silvestri; Adriana and Adam Arquette. Caring bis nonno to Nina and Gio. Reunited with his parents Celestino and Concetta. Dear brother in law to Silvana (late Giovanni), Pierina (late Antonio), Emilia (late Frank), Lica (Paulino) and late Domenico. Elio was the last of 6 siblings from Brittoli, Italy. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada and Italy. Elio was a long time, dedicated member of the Giovanni Caboto Club. He will always be remembered for the love and devotion he had towards his family, his love of making wine and tending to his gardens. The family would like to thank the Staff of the 6th and 8th floor at WRH-Ouellette campus, as well as Aspen Lake Nursing Home for all the care and compassion shown to Elio. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Sunday July 23, 2017 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Parish Prayers at 4:30 pm. Funeral Services will take place on Monday July 24, 2017 at 8:45 am then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
