Obituary of Adhemar Charron

Mr. MM' Unexpectedly on June 7, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 78. Adhemar will be forever missed by his beloved wife Ellen (nee Strong) of 52 years and his sons Dr. Patrick (Lisa) and Tim (Eithne). Devoted grandfather to Brynn, Brent, Natasha, Fiona and Cian. Son of the late Camille and Rachel (nee Bissonnette) Charron. Survived by sister Pauline, brothers Joseph (late Helen) and Jean-Paul (Donna Jones), sister-in-law Bev Barrette (late Edward) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Marguerite Renaud (late Paul), Simonne Petz (late William), Cecile Adam Barry (late Wilfred and late Alonzo), and brothers Roger (late Lucille) (Louise Strong), Raymond (Jeannine), Gabriel (Shirley) and Gerald (Mollie). Riley, his faithful Westie, will miss his daily walks with his "Dad". Adhemar retired from Bell Canada after over 32 years of service and was currently working at Windsor Textiles which he thoroughly enjoyed. He had many interests. In his early years he built soap boxes, built and flew model airplanes, built "racing beds" and with his team won several trophies. He built a bicycle built for two that he and Ellen used to bike all over Windsor, usually with their Westie comfortably in his seat on the back. In his later years, he became an avid MM collector, loved going to garage sales and thrift stores always on the lookout for MM items. He had a sense of humour, always wanting to make people smile with his jokes. He enjoyed eating out and playing cards with his family and friends and was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved many things, but most of all he loved his family. He was a kind, honest and generous man who was loved by many and will be missed by many. Friends and Family are invited to Most Precious Blood Parish (Corner of Meldrum and Tecumseh) on Monday, June 12 for memorial visitation from 10am until his Memorial Mass at 11am. A private family burial has taken place at St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E 519-253-7234. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff at WRH " Ouellette Campus I.C.U. for your kind and compassionate care. If you so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations to IRIS House would be appreciated by his family. Condolences may be left at www.windsorchapel.com
