November 28, 1922 " June 5, 2017 Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on June 5, 2017 in her 95th year. Born in Sydney (Cape Breton) Nova Scotia, to her parents, Edward and Gertrude Davis. Beloved wife of the late Daniel Edward Carroll (2013). Devoted mother of Sharon (Toronto), Leo (Chris), Sandra, Susan, the late Larry and Sheila (Cam) Simpson. Cherished grandmother of Darren Carroll (Toronto), Shannon (Joe) Marra (Calgary), Jennifer Carroll, Tom (Julie Anne) Laliberte, Todd (Julie Lynn) Laliberte, Philip Westfall (Edmonton), Kimberly Westfall, Tiffany Westfall, Jason Simpson, Aaron (Christine) Simpson and Lindsay (Asa) Simpson. Proud great-grandmother of Morgan, Sydnee, Olivia, Nicholas, Jacob, Justin, Jalyn, Kylie, Joshua, Hailee, Tanner, Grace, Aiden, Peyton and Lyric. Beloved sister of Cyril Davis (Toronto), Kevin Davis (London), Leo Davis, Babe (Sydney, Nova Scotia), the late Edward (Sydney, Nova Scotia), the late Sharon MacDow (Sydney, Nova Scotia) and the late Gerald (Sydney, Nova Scotia), and the late Melvin (the late Rosemarie) (Michigan). Daughter " in " law of the late Edward and Mary Carroll. Sister " in - law to Gloria Sheehan, Bob (Cathy) (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), Mike (Dolores) and Pat, and the late Annie, the late Bill, the late Berta, the late Sal, the late Fred, the late Frank, the late Barb, the late Cecil, the late Dorothy, the late Jack and the late Leo. Rita was a proud retiree of Canteen of Canada. She was a member of the Catholic Women's League and a life-long member of Most Precious Blood Parish. Rita dedicated many years volunteering at Windsor Regional Hospital " Metropolitan Campus. A special thank you to PSWs, Taylene, Lee-Anne, and Mel, as well as the staff at WRH-Met Campus on floor 5 West and 4 West. Friends are welcome to join Rita"s family for visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Road, East (519-253-7234), on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 1:00 pm " 3:00 pm and from 6:00 pm " 8:00 pm. Parish prayers will take place at 7:30 pm. Friends will be received at Most Precious Blood Parish, 1947 Meldrum Road, on Friday June 9, 2017 at 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow at Heavenly Rest Catholic Cemetery.
