Obituary of Benedetto Crolla

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a very special husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Benedetto, age 89, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Benedetto is survived, and will be missed dearly by his wife Maria and daughters Rosanna (Moritz) Rusch, Donna (Frank) Ieropoli and Maria (Dave) Perry. His grandchildren, whom he loved dearly are Nicolas (24), Marco (21), Sabrina (18) and Theador (17). He was the loving brother of the late Giovanna (Alberto) Perella and Genoveffa (the late Giovanni) Vacca of Picinisco Italy. Dear brother-in-law of the late Frank and Carmela Cervi, the late Domenico and Lauretta Cervi, Antonio (the late Maria) Cervi, Armando (the late Letizia) Cervi and the late Joe Cervi and his surviving wife Ersilia. Benedetto will also be missed by many nieces and nephews in Italy, England and in Canada. Benedetto embraced life by surrounding himself with many beloved friends whom he often considered family. A special thanks to the doctors and caregivers in the Intensive Care Unit at WRH " Metropolitan Campus, most especially to Dr. Henry Fortuna. Family and Friends are invited for visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave. 519-253-7234 on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm with parish prayers at 4:00pm. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 9:00am from the Funeral Home then to Our Lady of Assumption (McEwan Campus) for Funeral Mass at 10:00am.
