I was so sad to hear of Randy’s passing. He always knew how to make you laugh and he seemed to know so much about anything and everything. It was great working with him. He was always a protector and his knowledge will live on. I will never forget hearing his kazoo lol, I’m so sorry to the Catton family. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I am so sorry to hear that Randy has passed away. I was a Social Work student in the '80's and early 90's at MCSS and I sat right next to Randy. He was the most laid back, calm, friendly person and was very helpful and kind to me. Sending thoughts of comfort and support to his family. Melissa Hughes

I would like to share my sincere condolences to Randy's family. Randy meant so much to me. He was a colleague and mentor to me. We shared too may memories to count from teaching Bruce the job to crazy picket lines. Randy was an extremely loving man. He cared about everyone and he always gave 100 percent!!!! Randy was a true gentleman. I worked with him for many years. He was always lending a hand to people in need, from helping to carry groceries to cars or providing directions to county addresses. I always looked forward to our annual lunch in February around his birthday. He will be missed terribly. My love and condolences to your family. Take care.

Such sad news. My deepest condolences to the family. I was so very fortunate to work with Randy for many years at the Ministry of Community and Social Services. Randy was highly respected by clients and colleagues alike, and was well known for his calm, patient, polite and caring manner. He was often the go-to guy for the most difficult cases. Randy was deeply missed at the office when he retired, as he will now be by all who knew him beyond his work life. ‘So, kiddo’ - thank you for all of the wonderful memories you leave behind to comfort us in your absence.
