Obituary of Joan Marie McRae

McRae, Joan Marie It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Joan Marie McRae on April 25, 2017. Joan is reunited with her best friend and love of her life, Bernard McRae. Devoted and cherished mother to Bernard, Constance (Rick) Weldon, Brian (Colleen), Thomas, Karen (Noman) Russette, William (Kelly), Christine (Michael) Barichello. Loving grandma to Scott, Adam, Danielle, Diana, Chantel, Rachelle, Mitchel, Matthew, Olivia, Marcus and Connor-Jacob. Proud GG to Ryker, Britta and soon-to-be baby Maverick. Predeceased by her parents, William and Bula Danaher and her 10 brothers and sisters. Joan will be forever missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends both in Ontario and Michigan, USA. Joan was a devoted mother and grandmother, who will be forever remembered for baking her famous cookies and pies. A special thank you to each caregiver that touched our mother"s life, especially to the dialysis support group, the Extendicare staff, and Crown Transportation. Friends are welcome to join the family for visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Road East (519-253-7234), on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 3:00 pm " 5:00pm and from 7:00 pm " 9:00 pm. Parish prayers will take place at 7:30 pm. Friends will be received at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 834 Raymo Road, Windsor, for a funeral mass on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation " Dialysis Department or the Canadian Diabetes Foundation.
