Obituary of Nina Pocrnic

POCRNIC Nevenka "Nina" (nee Lorkovic) It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Nina, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, on April 24, 2017 at Huron Lodge, at the age of 79. Loving and devoted mother to MaryAnne Morrow (Bob) and Christine Wisniewski; both of Phoenix, Arizona. Cherished "Babi" to Luca and Angelina. Predeceased by siblings Josip Lorkovich and surviving wife Kata, Ana Frketic (Marko), Maca Srakocic (Janko), Dragica Matuzic (Josip), Zorka Gorup (Janko), Katica Cvitkovic and surviving husband Pavao and Barka Barsic (Ivan). Also survived by many nieces nephews in Canada and Croatia. Nina was retired from the GM trim plant and was a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church. A heartfelt thank you to the Staff at Huron Lodge for their compassionate support provided to Nina. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E 519-253-7234 on Wednesday April 26, 2017 from 6-9pm. Parish prayers at 8pm. Funeral services on Thursday April 27, 2017 at 9:15am from the funeral home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10:00am. Entombment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Nina"s life, donations may be made to the Windsor Essex County Humane Society or St. Francis of Assisi Church Building Fund.
