Obituary of Charles Augustine McCloskey

McCLOSKEY, Charles "Chuck"Passed away surrounded by his loving family on April 20, 2017 at 84 years of age. Loving husband and best friend of Virginia (nee Ritchie) for 57 years. Cherished father of Sharon Scammell (Kirt), David McCloskey (Allison Bellemore), Paul McCloskey (Penny Greenwood), Mary Jo Dillon (Paul Giordimaina) and Mark McCloskey (Amanda Deboer). Adored Papa of Jason (Mirela), Meagan (Nicole), Morgan (Jena), Carley, Alex (Lauren), Grace, Derek (Breanne), Brianne, Jewel, Kate, Charlotte and great Papa of Benjamin. Dear brother of the late Raymond (Eileen) and Mary Catherine (Anthony Gerrish) and brother-in-law of Joan Gallagher (Morgan), and the late William "Bill" Ritchie. Chuck retired from Ford Motor Company after over 30 years of dedicated service, was a long-time member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, a proud alumni of Brentwood Recovery Home and an avid Toronto Maple Leaf Fan. Chuck will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and other extended family. A special thank you to the staff at Heron Terrace for all of your love, care and compassion given to Chuck. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East, 519-253-7234 on Sunday April 23, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service Monday April 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
