Obituary of Baldo Dedo
DEDO, Baldo Passed away peacefully in his sleep on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, at Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouellette Campus, at the age of 84. Re-united with his beloved wife of 58 years, Barica (nee Novacki)(2013). Loving father of Zdenka Mary Logan (Garth) and Vesna Bailey (William). Cherished Deda of Sarah (Ken), Zachary, Stephen, Lauren and Karyn. Predeceased by brothers, Mica, Ivan and Antun. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Baldo will always be remembered for his love of country and undying passion for precision machining. He was a long time member of St.Francis of Assisi Croatian Church and he contributed to the fibre of the Croatian community. The family would like to express a special thank-you to the CCAC / St. Elizabeth/Bayshore nursing staff, as well as the staff at Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouellette Campus for their compassionate care. A heartfelt thank-you to the many friends who took the time to visit our father throughout his illness. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519.253.7234 on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers Wednesday at 8 pm. Funeral Service on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 10:15 am from the funeral home, then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church Building Fund or to the Windsor Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation.
