Obituary of Carmela Caruana

CARUANA, Carmela(nee DIMORA)It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our loving wife, mother, nonna and sister on April 1, 2017 at 66 years of age. Devoted wife and soulmate of 49 years to Antonio. Loving mother to Emanuele (Susy), Anna Zarbo (Andrea), and Leo (Daniela). Cherished nonna to Gina (Mazen), Carmela, Anthony, Felicia, Alayna, Julian, (Bella and Sparky). Loving daughter of the late Leonardo and Vincenza Dimora of Siculiana, Sicily. Dear sister to the late Gina and Francesco Zarbo. Survived by her sister Rosa Gucciardo (late Salvatore) all of Siculiana, Sicily and brother Pasquale Dimora (Rina) of Belgium. Sister-in-law to Leonardo and the late Anna Caruana and the late Salvatore and Giuseppina Caruana. Carmela will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. A huge thank you to Natale, Franca (Wanda), Giovanna and Francesco Vella for all their love, help and support. A special thank you to London Victoria Hospital and Hotel Dieu Emergency for all their help, especially all the nurses involved with her care. Carmela loved to bake and poured her heart into all that she did, especially her signature cannoli, and she always looked forward to and enjoyed Sunday dinners with her children and grandchildren. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Tuesday April 4, 2017 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Parish Prayers at 4:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday April 5, 2017 at 8:45 am from Windsor Chapel then to St. Angela Merici for Funeral Mass at 9:30 am. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
