Obituary of June Willcox

June Willcox (nee Boyer) aged 89, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2017 at St. Clair Schlegel Villages after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer"s. June was an active member at St. Mark"s church, and enjoyed donating her time and energy with various community organizations. She was well known for her knitting; she donated plenty of mittens to the local schools, lap blankets and slippers to the elderly. She also donated knitted caps and little stuffies for newborns in the hospitals. She is pre-deceased by her husbands Wilfred Boyer and George McAra, eldest daughter Barbara, her brothers Roy and Richard, her loving sisters Jeanne (Rawlings) and Eileen, and her son-in-law Mike Foster; the rest of us are grieving our loss. Her children Thomas McAra (Janet), Christine Blenkinsop (Jack), Laurel and Ron McAra, Sharon Boyer-Bishop (Steve), Sandra Foster and Shelley Boyer will miss her dearly. Her grandchildren Ben Bowes (Jess), and Jarrod Bowes, Stefanie Helbich-Morton (Rick), Katrina Ranchuk (Danny), Alex Helbich (Melissa), Andrew Helbich, Jennifer Dredhart (Jared), Jeffrey McAra (Makaila), Jamie McAra (Anna) and Kenny Walker will remember her with love. She leaves behind her great grandchildren Kyarra Bowes, Gavin McAra, Tristan Tubbs, Zayn McAra, Nyx Morton, Kian McAra and Cooper Helbich. All her family sincerely thanks her caregivers at St. Clair for the love and care they showered mom with over the last several years.
