Obituary of Joyce Boyer

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 20, 2017 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of Donald for 60 years. Devoted mother of Douglas (Cathy) and David (Robin). Loving Grandmother of Chelsea (Dustin), Andrea, Caroline (Greg), Lorraine and Thomas. Great-grandmother of Quinn, Hanna, and Lane. Joyce obtained her RN in Toronto, where she met Don. Mom"s life was her family and enjoyed travel, gardening, bowling, bridge, cooking, curling and many great friendships. She was an active volunteer at the former Metropolitan and Hotel Dieu Hospitals as well as the Art Gallery of Windsor. The family would like to thank all of the health care professionals who have been involved in Joyce"s care including Drs. W. Chan, W. Liang, F. Demarco, and the staff of Aspen Lake and Sunrise of Windsor. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Windsor and Essex County.
