Obituary of Walter John White

White, Walter Buster Passed peacefully surrounded by his family on February 18, 2017 at the age of 93 years. Will be reunited with his loving wife, Sheila (nee Murphy) (1997). Beloved father of Kerri (Jim) Bulmer, John (Sandy) White, and Jeff White (Andrea Brearley). Cherished Papa to Brett (Sarah), Katie (Dave), Jessica, Ashley, Kayla, Abby, Nolan, Jaxon, and Jordyn. Dearest brother-in-law to Pete Betty Murphy, Mike Anne Murphy, Pat Gerri Murphy, Janette, Nina, Fay White and the late Tom Elaine Murphy. Predeceased by his siblings, Margaret, Buddy, George, and Jimmy. Will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends. Buster retired after a lifelong career at Canada Post. He was very proud of his WWII Veteran status where he allegedly lost his finger. Buster was a lifelong baseball coach, starting 45 years ago with his beloved Windsor East Shavers and continued coaching his sons and grandkids until the age of 85! On top of coaching, Buster drag bunted for many years with different teams, ending with the K of C. He was also a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus #4386. The family would like to extend a thank you to Sunrise Assisted Living and La Chaumiere. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the staff at Heron Terrace for showing their care and compassion to Dad over the last two years. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd E. 519.253.7234 on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 2-5 7-9pm. A Veterans Service will be held at 2pm under the auspices of the Windsor Veterans Memorial Service Committee. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 9:45am from the Funeral Home then to St. John Vianney Church for Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness, memorial donations may be made in Busters name to Ronald McDonald House Charities Windsor House.
