Obituary of Leo Alfred Proulx
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Sir Leo, on Thursday February 9, 2017 from the Villages of Aspen Lake, at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of Ramona celebrating 69 years of marriage together. Loving father of Helene (late Edgar "Ed") Sullivan, Gaetan (Marie) Proulx and Colombe-1994 (Wayne-1995) Clark. Cherished grandfather of 7 grandchildren. Treasured great grandfather of 13 great grandchildren. Proud great great grandfather of 1 great great grandchild. Dear brother-in-law of Gabrielle Proulx. He is predeceased by his 7 siblings and will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Sir Leo was a 3rd Degree, 4th Degree, Grand Knights of Columbus member helping people with over 50 years of dedicated service. A special thank you for the compassionate care from the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Villages of Aspen Lake; especially those from the LaSalle wing. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Sunday February 12, 2017 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Parish prayers at 2:00 p.m., Knights of Columbus prayers at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday February 14, 2017 at St. Jerome Church (3739 Ypres St.) from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. As per Sir Leo"s wishes Cremation will follow. A private family service will be held at a later date at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer and Dementia Care-Windsor/Essex and would be appreciated by the family.
