Obituary of Letizia Emma Corrado
Born in Rivignano, Italy on November 27, 1926 . Passed away peacefully on February 5, 2017 with her family by her side. Reunited with her loving husband Vittorio with whom she shared 55 years of love and companionship and her parents Alessandro and Anna (nee Odorico). Cherished mother of Claudia Lazor and partner Hank Emery. Beloved sister of the late Emilia Salvador and late husband Guido, late Antonio and late wife Iolanda Meret, late Mario and late wife Carla Meret, late Rosanna Zorzitto and late husband Marcello, late Giovanni and surviving wife Rina Meret, and late Ottello Meret. Dear sister- in- law of Angelo Corrado and wife Vanda, Anna Corrado and late husband Giovanni, late Elicito Corrado, late Tullio Corrado, late Teresa Buran, and Valter and wife Graziella Corrado. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Letizia will be remembered for her love for gardening, cooking and especially playing bocce ball and shuffle board at the Fogolar Furlan Club. Above all, her unwavering love and devotion to her daughter Claudia and Hank Emery will forever be treasured. A special thank you to the staff and doctors on the 4th and 5th floors and ICU at Windsor Regional Hospital "Metropolitan Campus, Dr. Y. Emara Centre 1st floor Rehabilitation and lifelong family physician Dr. Berecz. Your care and compassion will never be forgotten. VISITING AT WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd East, 519-253-7234 on Wednesday February 8, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday February 9, 2017 at 9:15am from the Funeral Home then to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (804 Grand Marais Rd. E) for Funeral Mass at 10:00am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice.
