Larry stood to education speaking to students about the importance of learning more about Canada and why our veterans served Canada here at home and overseas. Larry told me that he valued opportunities to speak to families to share with them the importance to respect our freedom and value our principles of our Canadian democracy. Larry also reminded me that he found the greatest pleasure in attending Swearing In ceremonies for families receiving their Canadian citizenship. When the children asked about all his medals, Larry proudly identified each medal so that the children understood more about what it means to be a Veteran, to serve Canada to be proud of our Canadian heritage. When attending the RCNs Battle of the Atlantic memorial service in May and the Remembrance Day service in November this year, Larrys presence will be dearly missed by hundreds of people who always looked forward to enjoying his company as we gather to honour our fallen. We will remember them Ready, Aye Ready
