Obituary of Mary Olive Helen Paradis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Olive in her sleep on Thursday, January 12, 2017 with family by her side at the age of 80 years. Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario. Cherished mother of Kevin (Cindy) Paradis. Proud grandmother of Troy, Shane and Spencer Paradis. Loving daughter of late Wilfred and late Constance Paradis. Dear sister of June (2005) (Victor - 2012) Long, Albert (2015), Allan (2000), Patricia "Patty" (Don - 1999) McGregor, Hank, Jacques, and Linda (Steve) Bishop. Olive is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She is remembered by many for her 25 years of service at GM and at IODE Hospital. Olive was happiest watching her grandchildren playing sports and her love of watching sports channels on tv. When she was not able to attend events due to her illness she relied on her skilled texting to retrieve scores and updates. She was an inspiration to all, a fighter and never gave up. A Memorial Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Memorial will continue on Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. until time of Words of Remembrance at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel.
