Obituary of Angela Maria Cantisani

With sad hearts we announce the passing of our mother Angela at the age of 91 on January 5, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Domenico Cantisani (1964). Cherished and loved mother of Frances Pignanelli (Frank) and Carmine Cantisani (Carolee). Special nonna to Gino Pignanelli, Brandon Cantisani, Shannon Le Clair (Keith) and grand nonna to Julianne and Felicity. Angela is survived by her sister-in-law Bruna and brother-in-law Guiseppe(Maria) in Italy as well as many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends from Canada, the United States and Italy. Predeceased by her parents Salvatore and Isabella Biafora, parents-in-law Carmine and Maria Francesca Cantisani, sister-in-law Filomena (Giovanni) and brothers-in-law Giovanni (Angela Maria), Armando, Mario (Maria) and Antonio (Isabella). Mom was a hard worker who kept busy and always put her family before herself. Angela was a dedicated GM Trim worker for 21 years and a member of the Caboto Women"s Club Auxiliary. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm with parish prayers at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:15am on Monday, January 9, 2017 from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave. at Erie St. E.) for Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer"s Society of Windsor and Essex County or The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario in Angela"s memory would be appreciated. A deep thank you to the staff at the Village of St. Clair (Colchester Neighbourhood) for the compassion and care they gave to our Mom and for all the kisses and hugs that they give to the neighbours freely to make them feel at home.
