Hi Sandi, I've lived in London now for 11 years, but I remember when we were still in Windsor that the last time we saw you and Dave was at Pat and Hanks Fish &Chips. You always seemed to be a happy couple. I'm sorry for your loss. Take care! Karen Chapman

To my Uncle Dave, You were always there to lend a hand or give advice on things that know one else had a clue about. You were nothing like me personally but fit right in with whatever we were doing. You were quiet but we always had the best times with you. I loved showing off new stuff to you and I can still hear your patented "COOOOOOOL". Although not a blood relative, you were the best uncle I could have asked for. I've never known a world without you and Aunt Sandra in it and it's hard to imagine going on without you. Go onward and be free from this physical world. Love you Dave and have safe travels - Ryan

I met Dave and Sandra thru my brother, Kim Hennin many years ago. I thought to myself, wow you can really tell how much in love they are. I thought how cute it was he called her, 'Chum'. Always hoped I would find that kind of authentic love, and later, I did. I lost her two weeks ago. So sorry for your loss. The pain can seem unbearable at times Sandra. It's a loss that can't be fixed or forgotten. Try to stay strong. Love Todd Hennin.

i grew up across from Bort on a street with 7 other kids our age .... .... we were constantly testing boundaries, and doing stupid things, the 60's happened - high school, sex, drugs and rock n roll ....... they were good to us luckily we survived that and over the years tested less and matured some i was lucky enough to share the biggest adventure of my life with Bort ............. on one our of our cruises in Bort's Dodge Torpedo, we decided to go travel around South America .... without thinking it through or preparing or even learning the language ..... we were in Venezuela a month later...... without a clue, 18 yrs old and in it over our heads ...... we learned fast! ...... And what an adventure it was! Bort, his smile and the twinkle in his eyes will always be in my best memories. Chaez

Holidays at Uncle Dave And Aunt Sandi’s were the best! Fast cars, race track sets that would blow your mind in the basement, pool games.... and long hair and rock and roll. So fun, so many good times growing up. My brothers and I are deeply saddened by the loss of our uncle but know he left us with great memories on how to take risks and enjoy life! Cheers Uncle Dave

Sandy, I’m terribly sorry and saddened by this news. I extend my condolences to you and all of Dave’s family and friends. He truly was a good man. Very genuine. In my brief time knowing Dave, as a colleague at Green shield, I was immediately impressed by his sincerity and kind heart. He was a motivated person and a doer. Hard worker. He was gifted and excelled in his passions. We became more than co-workers. We became friends. Regretfully we were robbed of time in his retirement, but I am rich in memories from the years we worked together. He was a lot of fun to work with and a very reliable partner in the Data Centre. We enjoyed talking about concerts, bands both current and old, and of course he often had a phone pic of his latest add-on for the honda. He was prideful when he spoke of his family time. We enjoyed sharing vacation stories and talking about what we had been doing outside of work. I recall him saying how much fun he had when you all rented cars with your nephews and raced around. He really enjoyed the trip you both took to PEI. A trip I will definitely have to do with my wife and daughter. I was touched by how supportive and happy he was for me when my wife and I adopted our little girl. He downloaded a bunch of movies for my daughter. We also had fun building our pie boxes for the TV. He was kind enough to set one up for me and my Dad. We periodically texted each other about netflix shows or channels on our pie box to check out. He truly was an all around great guy. At work we jokingly referred to each other as Ralph and Sam the sheep dog and coyote from bugs bunny that used to hit a punch clock before starting their day. ...It was funny to us. As I said earlier, in the brief time I knew Dave, he really impressed a certain honesty and sincerity that is not common these days. I’m going to miss him. We all will. May he rest in peace. May you be comforted by your love. He is a celebrated man. A good man. Respectfully, Sean Bryan and family.
