....I will preface this, by telling you that I have recently retired following 35 years as a Funeral Director at Windsor Chapel. I worked 3 summers as a student labourer with Riverside Construction, in the 70''s. Glen operated the crane during construction of the Westcourt Building downtown. He was a CHARECTER. The boys constructed a wooden/sheet metal box, with a huge handle on it that we used to drop all of the goodies from the Metro Catering Coffee Truck down to the workers during their morning & afternoon coffee break. It was MY job to take this order..go up and purchase it, and then hook Glen''s cable to the box to drop it down into the foundation....I think Glen handled this with extreme care, knowing it was full of coffee, iced tea, donuts, hamburgers..etc, and NOT just a bunch of expensive tools. Just recently thought of him...remember fondly the Friday afternoon trips to the Commodore for a few "cold ones" at the end of the week. I know he will be missed..

Stella, Jolayne, Denise, Colleen, Todd, I am so sorry to hear of Glen''s passing. I wouldn''t know where to begin to share all of the wonderful fun memories I have of your loving dad while growing up on Dieppe. So friendly and always quick to tell a story and share his great laugh, or come over and save my dad from one of his home repairs gone wrong. He was a great neighbour, friend and a loving family man with your beautiful mom always there for him. He was so proud when he spoke of his children and grandchildren. He will be so dearly missed by our family.

It is with great sadness that we learned of Glen''s passing. He was a wonderful neighbour and friend. He was always ready to help with snow clearing, mowing grass or picking up your mail when you are on vacation. It was a daily pleasure to stop and chat with Glen when taking Toby ( our pet dog ) for a walk and Toby wouldn''t move until Glen greeted and patted him. And Glen''s energy and passion in looking after his property was amazing. No matter what time of the year he would be doing something like painting, hedge trimming or cleaning gutters. We will greatly miss him including Toby who continues to stop to check for Glen. Rest in peace.
