Obituary of Vita Giorlando

Giorlando, Vita It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Vita Tarantola in Giorlando. Loving wife of Paolo for 49 years. Cherished mother to Tony (Vesna) and Vito (Antonella). Devoted Nonna to Michelle, Michael, Maria, Isabella, Serafina, Paolo, and Domenica. Predeceased by her parents Vito and Anna Tarantola and sister Rosa (Salvatore), father-in-law Antonino, brother-in-law Salvatore (Maria). Survived by caring brothers Giuseppe (Leona) and Alberto (Lina) Tarantola and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She will be missed by Leonarda (mother-in-law), Francesca (Valentino), Vito (Graziella), Rosaria (Tony), Vincenzo and family, and other relatives in Sicily. She was a proud member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, First Lady of the Associazione Culturale Siciliana of Windsor, The Italian Women"s Club of the Giovanni Caboto Club Auxiliary, The Women of Moose Lodge, and The Windsor Celiac Foundation. Thank you to the staff of the ICU and the 6th floor of Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus for their care and compassion. Visitation will be at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 2-5 p.m & 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 4:30pm and a service with the Women of the Moose Lodge at 7:30pm. Funeral services on Friday January 6, 2017 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home then to St. Vincent de Paul Parish for Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
