Obituary of Gordon Andrew Gunnell

Passed away peacefully in the comfort of his original home in Tecumseh on December 13, 2016 at 88 years of age. Loving husband of Patricia with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. Much loved father of Linda (Mark) Buller, Diana (Abe) Reidpath and Greg (Michelle) Gunnell. Treasured grandpa of Andy, Jim, Angela, Olivia and Vanessa. Great grandpa of 5 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his brother George (Melita) Gunnell. Gord spent 43 great years at Chrysler Canada starting in the mailroom and ending of his career as Manager of Canadian Auto shows and Exhibits. Throughout his life Gord was involved with AKO football, Central United Church basketball, Western Ontario Baseball Scorers Association, Windsor & District Basketball Referee Association, Senior Slo-Pitch Baseball, a board member of WECSSO, a volunteer with United Way, and a board member at St. Marks by The Lake Church. He was also a lifetime member at Vic Tanny's Health Club. A big thank you to the caregivers from Amy's Helping Hands for their dedicated care given to our Dad throughout the past few years and especially for the kindness shown over these last two months. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East, 519-253-7234 on Friday December 16, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday December 17, 2016 at St. Mark's by The Lake Church from 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
