Obituary of Sylvia Kay Dow

Sylvia has been called home on December 11, 2016. Reunited with her beloved husband Frank Dow Sr. (2010). Cherished mother of Frank Dow and wife Michelle, Heather and husband John Hunt, and Krista and husband Chris Vander Park. Proud grandmother to Ethan, Skye, Crystal, Dallas, Dayne, Keely and Cayden. Loving sister to twin brother Bill and wife Bonnie Slogan, and sisters Susan Gilligan and Gail Foster. Predeceased by brothers Jim (2002) and wife Ila and George (1959), and her parents William and Lillian Slogan. Dear sister in law to Norm (2011) and wife Gloria, Ralph, Bea Vatteuer, Nora and husband Gary Sheehan and Marilyn Muijy. Will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. She was a dedicated employee of Grace Hospital for many years. She had a heart of gold and gave to all. The family would like to thank caregiver Shelly Jacobs and the staff of Extendacare Southwood Lakes Nursing Home-Walkerville, for all of the care and compassion shown to Sylvia. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Wednesday December 14, 2016 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday December 15, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Chapel. Cremation to follow. In memory of Sylvia, donations may be made to the Windsor Goodfellows.
