<br/>KARPENKO, Alexander<br/>Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on September 13, 2020 at 73 years of age. Loving husband to Christina (nee Bodnarchuk) with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. Proud father of Alex (2003), Cameron (Margaret), and Marie. Special grandpa of Tyler, Sarah, Lucas and Liam. Alex will also be sadly missed by his mother Katharina (the late Eugene). Beloved brother in-law of Adeline Bodnarchuk, Helene Bodnarchuk, Janice Mayea (Ron Pracey) and Ilene Blanchard (Richard). Dear cousin of Teddy Veskosky (Donna), nephew Brian and niece Krissy (2018), cousin Don Higgins (late Stella) and niece Julie, nephew Mark. Al was a dedicated and faithful employee of Ford Motor Company for 30 years. He was centered on family, but held a strong passion for the outdoors, in particular fishing and enjoying the tranquility of the family cottage that he built with his son. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234 on Thursday September 17, 2020 from 6-9pm. Panakhyda at 7:30pm. A Funeral Service on Friday September 18, 2020 at 10am in the Chapel, Fr. Walter Makarenko officiating. Due to COVID-19, reservations are required to attend the chapel service.
