Obituary of Paola Santarossa

SANTAROSSA, Paola (nee Tonon) April 28, 1935 " November 24, 2016 Passed away peacefully at Hospice of Windsor surrounded by her daughters and family. Beloved wife of 59 years to her late husband Bortolo "Cici". Incredibly loving mother and mother-in-law to Lora (Tony) Piunno, Doreen (Frank) Colantoni and Sandra (Luigi) Baggio. Adored and admired by her grandchildren Andrea (Joseph) Zagar, Paolo, Lucas, Adriana (Domenico), Nicolas, Isabella and especially by her great grand-daughter Navia Zagar. Waiting to welcome her into heaven with open arms is her great grand-daughter Mia Zagar. Loving sister to the late Adriano (Rina) Tonon and in Italy Wilma (late Luigi) Artusi, Nori Tonon, late Fiorella Tonon , Pierluigi (Clara) Tonon, Rafaella (Giuliano) Barel and sister-in-law to Ismide (late Ezio) Toffolon. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Paola was an incredibly vivacious woman who was young at heart and full of life. She loved to cook and bake and deeply enjoyed hosting large family gatherings in her home. She was adored by anyone who was lucky enough to make her acquaintance and had many friends likely due to her generous and compassionate nature. She will be deeply missed, loved always and never forgotten. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East on Sunday November 27, 2016 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Sunday at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services on Monday November 28, 2016 at 10:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
