Obituary of Dr. Walerian Julian Spakowski

SPAKOWSKI, Dr. Walerian Julian "Val" Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on September 19, 2016 at the age of 86. He leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years, Joan Lewis (nee Hunter). Dear father of Mark Spakowski (Valerie Bolduc) of Toronto, Susan Spakowski (Shawn Ratcliffe) of Mississauga, Janice Port (Chris) of Phoenix, Arizona, and Jennifer Lalonde of Windsor. Adored grandfather of Liah Port, Dawson Ratcliffe, Logan Ratcliffe, Kaylen Port, Joshua Lalonde, Coralie Spakowski, and Alizee Spakowski. Predeceased by his sister Irene. Dear brother-in-law of Margaret and Clyde Pranschke, and Glenda and the late Charlie Birch. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Steven Berecz, Dr. George Wong, Dr. Art Kidd, Dr. A. Atton, Dr. J. Spiers, Tracy, Brian, Craig and all care givers at CCAC, Hospice, St. Elizabeth, VON and Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouellette Campus for their excellent care and concern. Val graduated from Queen"s University, School of Medicine in 1955 and returned home to Windsor to establish a Urology practice in 1961 and retired from full time practice in 1997. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East 519-253-7234 in Monday, September 26, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow with a private interment of his cremated remains at a later date.
