Obituary of Dorothy Appleyard

APPLEYARD, Dorothy (Nee Ridgeon) It is with heavy hearts that the Family announces the peaceful passing of Dorothy on Monday, September 12, 2016 at the age of 92 years. Born in Castleford, York, England she made her way to Windsor, Canada in the early 1960"s. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Appleyard (1999). Caring Step Mother of Bill (late Mary-Lou), Reg (Marion) and late Bob (Carol). Proud Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother of many. Dear sister of late Sybil (late Victor). She will be missed by nephews Neil (Kate) son Chris and Ian (Julia) from England as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Cherished daughter of Alfred and Louie Ridgeon. She is remembered by many for working alongside her husband and sons at their family business British Motorcycles and Cars, Windsor. A special thank you for the compassionate care of Dr. Price, Dr. Mikhail, their Staff and the P.S.W."s of St. Elizabeth. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 3 " 5 and 7 " 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2016, in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
