Obituary of Virginia Friedl

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 4, 2016 at the age of 81. Beloved wife to Walter, with whom she celebrated 60 years of marriage. Cherished mother to Linda McCallum (David), Walter (Brenda), Michael (Jennifer), Mary Dowell (Doug), and Paul (Bin). Proud grandmother to Chris (Jodie) and Mary McCallum; Warren (Megan) and Zack Friedl; Nicole and Justin Friedl; Kathryn and Jon Dowell. Dear sister to Norma Iannetta (the late Benny). Predeceased by her parents Luigi and Amabile DePaoli, and sisters Natalie Myers (Harry) and Elda. She will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Virginia was a dedicated secretary with the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board up until her retirement. She was a member of the Catholic Women"s League at Our Lady of Atonement Church and a volunteer at Hotel Dieu Hospital in the gift shop. Family and friends will be received at Our Lady of Atonement Church (2940 Forest Glade Dr.) on Friday September 9, 2016 from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 am.
