Obituary of Margherita Maria Rossi

ROSSI, Margherita Maria It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margherita Rossi on August 14, 2016. Rita was born in Codogne in the province of Treviso, Italy on October 19, 1923. Margherita had a passion for her yard and garden and took great pride in keeping her lawn immaculate. She worked hard around the house and garden until her 90th birthday when her health started to deteriorate. In March, 2016, she moved to Kelowna to be cared for by her family. But her health kept deteriorating until her death. She is survived by her loving son, Bruno (Janet) Rossi and granddaughter Rachel (Edward), several nieces and nephews both in Ontario and Italy. She is predeceased by her parents Vittorio and Vittoria Cortese, Carmela (Giovanni) Visnadi, Ida (Giovanni) Val, Amelia (Alberto) Casagrande, Luigi (Antonietta, still alive) Cortese, Carlo (Maria) Cortese and Giovanna (Marcello) Lot. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery to follow.
