BATTAGIN, Maria (nee Crespan) It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of an amazing woman, who was the heart and soul of our family on August 21, 2016. Beloved wife of Mario for 54 years. Loving mother of Lorella (Vic) Pavlovski , Frank (Lori) Battagin and Liliana (William) Sheldon. Cara Nonna of Joey (Fiancee Ewa), Daniel, Erik, Gregory, Derek, Samantha, late Colby (2010), Amelia and Clayton. Cara Bisnonna of Oliver. Maria was a dedicated, strong woman who devoted her time helping with many organizations especially with the Trevisani Nel Mondo, Pastoral Care Team of St. Angela and Caboto Italian Women's Auxiliary. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Wed. Aug. 24, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Mass on Thurs. Aug. 25, at 11 a.m. at St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave.). Entombment Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Italian Canadian Handicapable Association or Hospice of Windsor.
