Obituary of Jeanne Mary Bistany

BISTANY, Jeanne (Nee Hamilton) It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beautiful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Jeanne Bistany (nee Hamilton) passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 with her loving family by her side. Jeanne was a member of the RAF (LACW), Past President of the K of C Ladies Auxiliary Council 4386. Predeceased by husband Phil (1986) & parents Sid (OBE) and Winnifred Hamilton of England. Loving and precious mother to Ian Sr. (2008), Beverly Bistany-St. Pierre (Leo), Shirley Benoit, Phil Jr., and Anne St. Denis (Tom). Treasured and loved by her grandchildren Keith (Charise), Ian Jr. (Jennifer), Erica, Matthew (Stacey), Jenna-Lee Scott (Graham), Katie & Brittany. Great grandchildren Ian Justin & Makenna. Beloved Sister-in-law of Gerald Bistany (late Maryann), Florence Bistany (late Fred) and late Joan & Gord Pegler. Survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to the doctors, nurses and care givers on Unit 5 at Metropolitan Hospital especially Marty, Nancy, Kelly, Almisa, Jennine, Danielle, Diane, Shelly, Joe, Agnes, Dr. Bergeron, and Dr. Peer. Thank you all for your support, empathy and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Transition 2 Betterness to help continue the great work they do. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Visiting on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel.
