Obituary of Helen Mary Anne Pauline Moore

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Helen, at the age of 74. She left us on August 15, 2016, surrounded by her family that she loved dearly. She is now reunited with our dad, Danny (2011). She will be sorely missed by her children, Chris (Mary), Danny Jr. (Mike), and Janis. Loving Mem" of Zachary and Ethan and her furry grandchildren, Minnie, Daisy, Lucy, Ethel, Winkie and Fudge. Dear sister of Maurice Drouillard and the late Beatrice Lessard (1989). Sister-in-law of Ed Lessard, Don Moore (Karen), Jean Lange, Jim Moore (Pat), Helen Roach, Pat (2007) Moore (Lynda), Kathy Mineau (Ray), Pauline Wilder (Don Martin). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mom was born on February 24, 1942 in Riverside to Walter (1974) and Isabelle (1992) Drouillard. She was very nostalgic and loved to reminisce about growing up in Riverside and attending Ste. Cecile School. Since she was young, she collected newspaper clippings"whenever there was a birth, death or anniversary of someone she knew, she had to clip it and put it in one of her many books. She will be remembered for her cabbage rolls and potato salad as well as her love of playing cards. She also enjoyed singing while Dad played music at our family get togethers. Mom was always a lot of fun to be around"you never knew what would come out of her mouth next. Over the course of Mom"s illness she was able to receive blood due to generous donors. If you are able, please consider donating blood through Canadian Blood Services. A private family service will be held at a later date, with interment at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery, which is located on land that was once owned and farmed by her great grandfather, Fran"ois Xavier Drouillard. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Central Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd E. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association Windsor and District, the Kidney Foundation of Canada Windsor and District, the Canadian Liver Foundation or the Windsor-Essex Humane Society.
