Obituary of Adolphe Emile Janisse

JANISSE, Adolphe Al" Encircled by the love of his family, our dad Adolphe Al" Janisse passed away peacefully at home and is forever joined with our mom, Electa "Lucky" (nee McCrea). Cherished by his children Sister Jacqueline (Lynda) Janisse CSJ, Marilyn and Rick Guenot of Florida, Maureen and Kevin Nickleson, Ed Janisse and Kim Pundzius, and Elaine and John Lalonde; and his grandchildren " Darrick and Heather Guenot, Brooke and David Ehrlich and Cory Guenot , all of Florida, Sean and Karol Nickleson, Sara Nickleson, Patrick Nickleson, Alyssa Janisse and Jeff Ohler, Kyle Janisse, Lucas Lalonde, Owen Lalonde, Emily Pundzius, and John Luxford; and his great-grandchildren " Craig and Ciara Guenot, Grace and Wesley Ehrlich, all of Florida, Luke and Jake Nickleson and Murphy Janisse Ohler. He was a loving brother to Roland, Wilfred, Jim and Clarence and wife Lois, Sister Marcelline (Marlene) Janisse CSJ, sisters-in-law Betty Janisse and Bernice McCrea. Predeceased by parents Tancrede and Viola (deClarke), brothers " Amedee, Lawrence, Leo and Norbert; sisters " Harriet Desmarais, Loretta Quinlan and Rita Ann Markham, daughter-in-law Darlene Janisse and many in-laws. Many nieces and nephews will miss him dearly. Dad worked for 39 years at Bendix Corporation where knowing every employee and their payroll number was a talent of which he was very proud. He then became a valued member of the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home family for over 20 years, a work he truly loved. He served his Church as an usher for more than 60 years and he was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4924. He was active for many years in the Credit Union Movement. His faith, family and home were the 3 pillars of his life. The family wishes to extend our thanks to the many health workers who cared for dad over the past 3 years. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd East on Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m. K of C prayers at 4:00 p.m. and Time of Remembrance at 8:00 p.m. Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. Interment St Mary"s Cemetery in Maidstone. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation for renal dialysis or ALS Society of Canada.
