Obituary of Maxine (Edna) Gregg
GREGG, Maxine (Edna)
Passed away peacefully in the company of her sons on September 3, 2020 at age 90, following a courageous and tenacious battle against multiple medical challenges.
Loving wife of John (Jack) (2010). Cherished mother of Brian (Laurie), Tim (2011) and Neil. Beloved Gram of Heather (Dan) and Chris (Katie). Proud Gigi of Logan.
Maxine will be dearly missed by Eileen Azlen and the entire Azlen family, friend of 77 years Rita Tessier and “adopted daughter” Marianne Reaume.
Reunited with her parents Bessie and Clarence, sister Helen and brother-in-law John and long-time friends Jeanne Ferrari and Gerry Hussey.
Maxine was an avid golfer, bowler, euchre and pepper player. She also served as a long-time registration desk volunteer at the Essex-Kent Boys Golf Tournament. She loved watching her Tigers and Spits both in-person and on TV.
Maxine treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. Most special to her were gatherings between the Greggs and Azlens and Christmas nights spent with Chris & Kim and John & Judy.
Maxine’s family would like to express appreciation for the wonderful care provided by the nurses and doctors at the Windsor Regional Hospital Renal Program, the Windsor Essex County Cancer Centre and 7 West at Ouellette Campus.
Gratitude is also extended to the staff at Chartwell St. Clair Beach for their warmth, outstanding care and compassion over the past three years.
Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Nicole St. Amour for her many years of patient, kind, considerate and exemplary personal medical care.
At Maxine’s request a private visitation will occur, followed by cremation.
It is Maxine’s wish that donations in her memory be considered to the Windsor Regional Hospital Renal Program or the Windsor Goodfellows Club.
