Obituary of Janko Mogus

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Janko on September 3, 2020. Born in Croatia on September 26, 1948. Dear husband of 50 years to wife Nada Mogus (Zivcic). Loving Tata to daughters Nancy (Troy) Schwager and Christine (Rafal) Grochal. Cherished Deda to Ella Schwager. Predeceased by his parents Danica & Ivan Mogus and in-laws Katica & Franjo Zivcic of Croatia. Loving brother to Zvonko (Marica) Mogus of Croatia and sister Ankica (Marijan) Bozicevic of Tecumseh. Adored brother-in-law to Danica (Branko) Duric and Ankica (Josip) Juricic of Croatia. Treasured uncle to Melinda (Adriano) Oppio and Zivko (Ann-Marie) Zivcic of Windsor, Marijan (Vesna) Mogus, late Ankica Mogus, Marijan (Ruzica) Zivcic, Zlatko (Blazenka) Zivcic, Monika & Katarina Juricic and Igor (Dragana) Duric of Croatia. Janko was a kind and gentle soul who was loved and respected by all. He loved being outdoors working in his garden, riding his bike, going for walks, playing bocci ball, or just taking in the sun. He worked at Kelsey Hayes for 23 years and Canam Tools for 18 years. The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Laura Voltic, Dr. Stephen Rukavina, nurses from St. Elizabeth Health Care, Lili Hong and Chris Brocoy for all their care and compassion while Janko was being cared for by his family. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519) 253-7234 on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 2-4:30pm and 7-9pm. A private Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church, with entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. <strong> PLEASE NOTE: MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO BE WORN AT THE VISITATION, FUNERAL MASS AND CEMETERY.</strong> In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Francis of Assisi Church Building Fund (1701 Turner Rd.
