Obituary of Sergio Truant

TRUANT, Sergio "Joe" Passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on July 11, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Dear husband to Rosita (nee Viale) with whom they shared 50 years of marriage. Cherished father to Linda (Scott), Dino (Nancy) and Stephen (Meighan). Proud Nonno to Kallie, Cole, Devon, Nathan and Hannah. Predeceased by his siblings Pina, Tony, Mario, Gemma and Bruno. Survived by his siblings Gina (the late Pietro), Maria (the late Mario) and Umberto (Luisa) and in laws Ivana Dugal and Rudy (Liz) Viale. He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous clientele from his 47 years as "Joe the Barber". Joe was the President of the Barber"s Union, a founding member of the Fogalar Furlan Club, a member of the Caboto Club, and a 3rd degree Knight of Council #4924. The family would like to thank the staff at Windsor Regional Hospital Dialysis Unit, as well as the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Banwell Gardens, for all of their continued care and compassion shown to Sergio. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Central Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E on Thursday July 14, 2016 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Knights of Columbus Prayers at 7:00 pm and Parish Prayers at 7:30 pm. Relatives and friends will be received at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum Rd) on July 15, 2016 for Mass at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Anne"s Cemetery. In kindness, donations may be made to Windsor Regional Hospital Dialysis Unit or Lupus Ontario-Windsor Branch.
