Obituary of Pio Carlini

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 11, 2016 at the age of 93 years. Beloved husband of the late Antonia (2002). Dear father of Maria and her late husband Gennaro Mastromattei, and Armando and wife Carol Carlini. Loving nonno of Linda (Bruno) Cinat, Andy Mastromattei, Tom (Debbie) Mastromattei, Adrian (Katie) Carlini and Daniel (Alexandra) Carlini. Cherished bis-nonno of Melissa (Matt) Renaldo, Bianca Cinat and fianc" Frank Mancina, Jake, Dillon, Julia, Joshua Mastromattei and Mason Carlini. Dearest great-great-nunnu to Matteo, Massimo, and Isabella Renaldo. Predeceased by his four sisters, Domenica, Giacinta, Vincenza, and Luigia. Pio was born in Ceprano, Italy on August 9, 1922. He was a veteran of WWII. He retired from the City of Windsor in 1987. Longtime member of the Ciociaro Club, and will be missed by his Friday night card playing friends. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Central Chapel) 519.253.7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd East on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 2-5 & 7-9pm. Parish Prayers at 4:30pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 8:45am from the Funeral Home to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
