Obituary of Lorraine Hastings
Passed away peacefully on May 28, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare at the age of 88 years. Beloved wife and soulmate to the late James "Jim" Hastings (2011). Loving mother to Judy and Ron Lachance, Brian and Colleen, Wayne and Cindy, Cathy and Doug Schwartzentruber, Gary and Shelley, Mary Ann and Bill Deady; and the late baby James Hastings (1954). Cherished Grandma to 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Annette & husband Bernard Bellemore, and her late siblings, Hiram, Arthur, Archie, Wilfred, Emile, Leo, Bella, Florence, and Lucille. Survived by her sister-in-law Bea Roy. Will be missed dearly by her sister-in-law and best friend Marguerite Richards. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lorraine was a long time member of the Catholic Women"s League. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Central Chapel), 519.253.7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd E, on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 7 to 9pm. Parish prayers at 7:30pm. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum at Tecumseh Rd E.) for visitation from 9:30am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to WRH-Ouellette Campus c/o Renal Dialysis Clinic.
