Obituary of Joan Marie Braine

1950-2016 She was a best friend to her husband , John, first mate and the love of his life. She was a remarkable and caring mother to her loving son Ryan Peterson, step-sons Kevin (Sherry) Braine, and Brad (Tesia) Braine. Cherished nannie to Dawson, Travis, Ali, Owen, and Shayla. Predeceased by her parents, Mildred & Herbert Hadland, and in-law`s Ann & Jack Braine. Cherished sister to Lois (Gerry) Woodman, Barry (Jeannie) Hadland, Karen Roy, Colleen (late Rick) Campbell, Lori (Larry) Schaefer, and the late Douglas & Kenny. She was loved and close to her 16 nieces and nephews and 30 great-nieces and nephews. Joan was a kind and beautiful woman who left her mark on everyone she knew, especially her many exceptional friends. She lived her life to the fullest. The family wishes to extend their thanks to all of the wonderful caregivers over these past two months, who were all so kind and generous to Joan. Memorial visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Central Chapel) 519.253.7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd E, on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 3-5 & 7-9pm. Visitation will continue at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (804 Grand Marais Rd E) on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 10am until time of Memorial Mass at 11am.
