Obituary of Giovanna Tola

TOLA, Giovanna (nee Vitale) It is with broken hearts that the family of Giovanna Tola announces her passing on May 15, 2016 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus, surrounded by the presence of her loving family, at the age of 72 years. Reunited with her beloved husband Pietro (2006) and parents Giovanni and Vincenza Vitale. Loving mother of Sandy DeCaro and husband John, Gino Tola and wife Rosa, John Tola and wife Jofe, and Anita Tola. Cherished Nonna of Alexandra, Peter James, Sabrina, Isabella, Sofia, Olivia, Lily and Emma. Dear sister-in-law to Antonietta and husband Paolo, late Andrea and surviving wife Eufemia, Antonino and wife Franca. Will be forever remembered by cousins, Rosa and husband Tony Ciotoli & Andrea and Betty Delisi, and also many first cousins overseas. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, in Canada and overseas. Giovanna was a dedicated mother and nonna to her children and grandchildren. She had a heart of gold that gave endlessly to ensure that her pride and joy, which was her family, was always first and foremost in her life. Giovanna will be fondly remembered for her sewing, which she enjoyed as a hobby, occupation, and to assist with her family's personal needs. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Central Chapel), 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 3 - 5 p.m. and 7 -9 p.m. Parish prayers Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Funeral service on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Avenue) for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
