Obituary of Carlo Dapoz

DAPOZ, Carlo Passed away peacefully in his sleep, on May 10, 2016 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus, at the age of 90 years. Beloved husband of Ida (nee Zadra) with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. Loving and devoted father to John Dapoz (Julie), and Mark Dapoz (Yetta). Cherished Nonno to Sandy, Martin, Dennis, and Adam Dapoz. Dear brother to Ottilia Malagoli of Italy. Adored uncle to Isa, and Carla. Dear brother in-law to Maria Zadra, and Carlo Zadra; both of Italy. Also survived by many cousins and relatives in Italy. Carlo immigrated to Canada in 1963 to make a better life for his family, and retired from General Motors Transmission after many years of dedicated service. He was a member and volunteer of the former Trentino Club for many years. In his past-time, Carlo enjoyed the art of photography in his travels to many different regions of the world. Although Carlo enjoyed many things that life had to offer, his greatest pride and joy was his family, and especially his grandchildren who provided that twinkle in his eye. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Central Chapel) 519.253.7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers Friday 4:30 pm. Funeral Services on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 8:45 am from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 am. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens.
