Obituary of Andrew Goggins

GOGGINS, Andrew Joseph Born July 19, 1951 and died peacefully May 7,2016 at the Emara Centre for Healthy Aging and Mobility. Andy was the much loved son of Alan (1997) and Leda (nee Danek) Goggins and a wonderful and caring brother to Christine (Bill) Ross; Patrick (Arlene), Philip (Dolores), Kathye (Gene) Lotz and Anne (Michael) Muzzin. Favourite nephew of Walter Danek and friend Alice (Rochester Hills). He was the proud uncle, step-uncle and great uncle to a loving extended cast of nieces and nephews from near and far. Bradley (Deb) and Nathalie Ross (Petawawa); Allyson (David) and Spencer Hallahan; Ian (Adrienne), Charlotte and Kieran Goggins (Toronto). Colin (Amalia) , Amalia and Simon Goggins (Phoenix); Nicole (Mike), Liam and Elise McGowan (Oakville); Ali (Sam) Solanhal (Toronto); Jon Riggs and fianc" Ashley (Vancouver); Erica Goggins (Toronto); Justin (Adriana), Christopher and Nicholas Goggins; Heather (David) and Jane Krahn; Graham Lotz and friend Jen; Grace (Jamie), Alice and Nolan Murphy (Halifax), Trevor Copeland (Burnaby) and Ross Muzzin. Andy had a life-long love/hate relationship with the Detroit Tigers, Lions and Red Wings. He enjoyed golfing and fishing, and was a proud long-term employee of Tecumseh Home Hardware and Building Supplies.The family wishes to extend our gratitude to Andy's primary care physician Dr.V. Maraj, his oncologist Dr.J.Mathews, and most recently his care-givers at the Emara Palliative Care Unit at Hotel-Dieu Grace Health Care Centre. Andy was a devoted and loving son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle and will be sorely missed. Memorial Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Central Chapel) 519.253.7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 10 a.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a donation to the Canadian Red Cross to assist the Victims of the Fort McMurray Wildfires.
