Obituary of Franz Vattheuer

Vattheuer, Franz "Frank" Loving husband to Annette, for 59 years, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2016 at the age of 80 years surrounded by his caring wife and children. Beloved dad to Mike (Simone) Vattheuer, Frank (Annabel) Vattheuer, and Susan (Emiel) Pelikys. Cherished granddad to Vanessa, Christine, Frank, Christopher, and Shaylyn. Dear brother of Hilda and Gunther of Windsor; Josef, Helmut and Klaus, of Germany, and will be remembered by grandchildren in Canada and nieces and nephews in Europe. Frank came to Canada from Germany at a very young age after WWII, where he swept Annette Riberdy off of her feet and they began their life together. Frank retired as a Chief Warrant Officer after serving in the Canadian Military for 27 years. Frank and Annette built a sailboat and they traveled the world before settling in Windsor. Special thanks to the Cancer Clinic, especially to Dr. Gupta and Dr. Aoun, C.C.A.C , VON, and all the staff at Sunrise particularly Sue, Delores,Toni, Tracy and Miguel for their compassionate care. Memorial visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Central Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd E, 519.253.7234 on Friday May 6th from 1:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. In kindness, donations may be made to Myeloma Canada.
