All we have are memories, which for me began before knowing we were in life. We just had it and loved our times with shared family experiences that McQuaby came to present. Uncle Kurt and Aunt Eva, did so much for us all, in giving meaning and a special-ness of life. John is at once the culmination of their love and caring as he was also his own man, a good, kind and compasionate man. We shared many times with the grace and love of nature, The dance of the loons around our boat, a show for us kings, many such shows of beauty and grace, with all those and these, I remember you. A cousin a friend and a pillar of strength, a knowing that you would always be there.. Nothing can compare to the wonderful embodiment of family and relatives included in 61 years as I go back now to see, your home, your mom and dad, Steven and of course adorable Snoopy. Many summers growing up and old through this our tree and branch of life and time. Always there, always here and now, and now I must see inside to visit and care and love as we on the outside now can only know your gracious presence in our hopes and dreams as you with us all. Til then , again , the heart will hold.

I worked with John ( Herbi) at Lowe''s from store opening until his retirement last year. It was always a pleasure to work with him and see his smiling face in the mornings! I am a better person for knowing this kind man who had a nice thing to say about everyone. My heart is broken for Karen and all of the kids and grandkids and his furrry kids who brought such joy to his life. He was an awesome guy and I will miss him. May you find strength in your love for each other and John. God bless the Herbster family.
