Obituary of Zora Cvitkovic

Zora Cvitkovic, nee Trupkovic<br/>December 2, 1941 to August 26, 2020<br/><br/>A kind gentle soul, wife, mother and Baba left us Wednesday, August 26, 2020. She was married to her love, Mijo Cvitkovic for 54 years with whom she had three wonderful children, Freda(Gilles) Belisle, Angeline (Matt) Lafontaine and Anton (Kathy) Cvitkovic. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren, Emma, Joseph, Alexis, Sarah, Madison, Denise and Jack.<br/><br/>Born in Dubravci, Croatia on December 2, 1941 to Jelena and Josip Trupkovic, Zora was the youngest of 9 children. She moved to Germany in her 20’s, It was there that she married her husband, MIjo and their life began. In 1966, they took a chance and moved to Canada to search for an even better life and made each day better than the next no matter how hard the struggle.<br/><br/>Zora was employed in the restaurant industry for many years with most of those years at Franco’s Pizzeria. She was dedicated and hard working. When she was not at work, she loved to cook and bake for everyone. Gardening was a huge passion she shared with her husband. Spending time with her grandchildren was the greatest gift in her eyes. She adored each one of them with all her heart, big hugs, kisses and especially food. She always loved to play and dance. She was the biggest kid of all with the biggest heart.<br/><br/>Zora was an amazing woman, wife, mother and Baba and we will all miss her dearly. She will be loved to the moon and beyond the stars forever and never forgotten by her family.<br/><br/>Many thanks to the staff at Met Hospital on 5 North and 4 west for their compassionate care in her final days.<br/><br/>A private family service has taken place to celebrate her life.<br/><br/>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada, <br/><br/>
