Obituary of Maria Mazurek

MAZUREK, Maria "Irene" (Nee Zadarko) It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Irene on April 5, 2016 at home with her loving husband by her side at 62 years of age. Dear wife of Bill for 42 years. Adored mother of Christine (Jeff) Brush, Lisa Mazurek and John Mazurek. Cherished Baba of Ashley, Jillian and Sophie Brush. Survived by her mother Anne Zadarko and reunited with her father John Zadarko. Irene will also be missed by her sister-in-law Lynne Mazurek, nieces Mandy and Melanie and her best friend Marusia Preece. A heart felt thank you to Irene"s friends, neighbours, PSW"s, and nurses for all of their care and compassion given to Irene during her battle with ALS. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East (Windsor, Ontario) on Friday April 8, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Panakhyda (prayers) at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday April 9, 2016 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church (601 Lake Trail Drive Windsor, Ontario) from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Tom Hrywna officiating. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Society of Windsor and Essex County.
